Tarot Tuesday: 10.9.2018

Hello my little Tarot Tots!

Today I drew a card for Tarot Tuesday. I honestly don’t have too much to say about it. Something I did want to note that I am digging the Robert M. Place Vampire Tarot. I know that the artwork is based on various mythology and stories of vampires from tv, books, movies, and such.

Tarot Tuesday 10.9.2018

As you can see, my cats butts were in the view of the camera as well. Well, two of them. I have many, many cats. They’re my babies. These two are Boingo (who we’ve seen in another post so far) and Butter Scotch. Scotch is a little kitten and she loves to follow people around.

Anyway, on to the tarot.

This card is the 3 of Garlic Flowers, which is this deck’s version of pentacles/coins/earth/etc. I drew it upright, but I’ve been thinking about my thoughts on reading reversals lately. More on that on a Monday Musings post probably. This card is about creativity and artistic pursuit. It’s good to have a hobby to explore. Perhaps that is what you should focus on this week. There’s a lot of time in the world to do this sort of thing. Although in time it all seems like it is so short. So get out and do the thing!

Let’s do the damn thing!

Find Your Western Zodiac Tarot Card!

Greetings my little Tarot Tots.

Today, I am doing my Monday Musings. I wasn’t sure on the topic of what I was going to pick but I decided that I was going to write about the zodiac or the basics of astrology in the tarot.

To start with, when doing a reading involving the western zodiac, one must find the significator or the client’s zodiac card. This is easy to find. First you have to know what your western zodiac sign is. For some help, I included a happy little chart below.

Zodiac sign– Birth Date
Aries– March 21st-April 19th
Taurus– April 20th-May 20th
Gemini– May 21st- June 21st
Cancer– June 22nd-July 22nd
Leo– July 23rd- August 22nd
Virgo– August 23rd-September 22nd
Libra– September 23rd-October 23rd
Scorpio– October 24th-November 21st
Sagittarius– November 22nd- December 21st
Capricorn–  December 22nd- January 19th
Aquarius– January 20th- February 18th
Pisces– February 19th- March 20th

So now things get broken down into gender. I personally do not believe this to be the most important part of the reading. You can still have a male with a female card or a female with a male card. They’re just generalizations.

Zodiac Signs:                                Female:                                    Male:

Aries, Leo, Sagittarius                Queen of Wands                   King of Wands

Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn            Queen of Disks                     King of Disks

Gemini, Libra, Aquarius             Queen of Swords                  King of Swords

Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces                Queen of Cups                       King of Cups

Once you have found your zodiac sign’s card, you can compare with another card. This is why I say that the genders are general. You may be one female card, but draw another female card. Perhaps you need to draw the same card as you. Perhaps you draw a male card but you are attracted to female cards. That part doesn’t exactly matter, for the most part. It’s just trying to make things easier on you.

I’m a on a cusp (which means I was born during a time when the signs were shifting and because of this, I have TWO western zodiac times) and am a Cancer and a Leo. For me, I am both King/Queen of Wands and King/Queen of Cups. Both sets really represent me, but I find I resonate with the Cups court cards more than I do the Wands court cards. I am very much a water sign.

So I’ve told you what I am. What are you? Are you a cusp as well? Find your cards!

Weekend Forecast 10.5.2018

Greetings my little Tarot Tots.

Today’s the day! The first day in a long time that I am doing a Weekend Tarot Forecast.

So let’s get this party started. For this Weekend Forecast I will be using the Vampire Tarot deck by Robert M. Place. I really like the artwork on this deck and thought it would be appropriate for this month of spooky stuff. Not that I don’t use this deck any other time. I definitely do. Anywho…

weekendforecast10-5-2018.JPG

Say hi to my cat, Boingo, by the way! She’s all black and really fluffy. She’s about 6 months old or so. I always forget her birthday. She decided she wanted to help. I have several cats and they always love to help me. She wouldn’t move so she became a prop. Ha ha!

So for Friday:
3 of Holy Water [chalices] (Reversed): This is a really great card to have on a Friday evening!!! It shows that you have people who want to hang out with you, be it online or in person. My friends love going dancing on Fridays and Saturdays and sometimes I go with them (I’m very boring. ha ha). It’s nice to have some people that you can hang out with. Not everyone has that. If you don’t have that, why don’t you try connecting with other people tonight? It’s fun to try and meet new people. You can just go into forums and see if there’s someone that might like to talk to you. The sky is the limit!

Saturday:
2 of Holy Water [chalices]: I think you’re on the right track to finding friends. Maybe you messaged someone last night or something or maybe you met someone somewhere and you really hit it off. Maybe you met them recently and are just now getting to talking to that person a bit more. Today is a great day to try to connect with that person. There are so many things you could go and do or even stay online and show them things that you like. This is your time to shine.

Sunday:
6 of Garlic Flowers [pentacles] (Reversed): This is a great day for charity and spirituality (it IS a Sunday after all). If you’re the church going type, today would be a good time to go and enjoy a good sermon. Personally, I’m a witch so for me, I would be going out into nature and enjoying all of the weather that we are having (rain or shine). In the meantime, we’re talking about charity. Give to your fellow man, nature, animals… Anything! It’s a good time to just get out and do something fantastic. If you have family that you can spread your love to, go ahead and do it. There are so many different ways to contribute to the world. Even an atheist could get out and do something. Nihilists too! There’s no reason in this world to not be nice.

So tell me what you think, everyone. I hope your weekends go as well as mine.

Lots of love,

October Special Reading Offer

Greetings my little Tarot Tots!

How are you all faring today? I hope you are well. I am sure you are. Life is good.

I wanted to let everyone know that I am doing a special Past/Present/Future “Year in Review” just for this month. I might do this again during the usual New Year and the Chinese New Year. What I am doing is doing a special year in review spread for you, whether you want to see a past year, the present year, or a future year, for an extra special price.

Instead of the usual cost of one hundred dollars (100$), I will be only charging sixty dollars (60$). I find this to be a pretty good deal as most standard readings that I do are around 40$ and 50$. This is a great opportunity to get a large reading.

If you are interested, please shoot me a message in my contact me page and I will get with you with more information. Don’t forget that this is all confidential and I pride myself in my work.

Lots of love (and hopefully a reading!),

Tarot Tuesday: Duet 10-2-2018

Greetings my little Tarot Tots.

It’s Tarot Tuesday, the day where I do a special reading for you. Today is the second and I see romantic happenings in pairs. I can’t wait to show you the reading I got today. I bet you’re as excited as I am!

romance10.2.2018

In the first position (on the left side) is:
7 of Swords: [Vienna] This is called the “Courtesan” card in this deck and she is all about deception. Lies and such are in the past. She is clouding your better judgement and tainting your current views. If you can look past this card and into the future, I see much better things will happen for you. It’s like the saying goes, “It gets better.”

The second card (bottom):
3 of Swords: [Vienna] This card is called “The Fixed Duel” and it is all about betrayal and pain. It looks like you were hurt in the past. Burned even. And you need to learn to try to work through the pain to see what things lie in your current partner. Have they done something to abuse you? This is a tough time. You are going to have to find a way to work with your partner or even leave. If they are a prospective lover, perhaps you should look away. Someone in your past is treating you poorly and you’re going to have to somehow work through it though.

The third card (on the right):
IX The Hermit (Reversed): [World Travels] This card is “The Loner.” It has to do with a lack of concentration in this part. The person who will help you through your tough time is going to be someone with an inability to focus. They will see something that you don’t. Put your trust in this person. They know what they are talking about.

The fourth and final card (top):
10 of Chalices (Reversed): [Venice] This card is about “Serenity” and happiness. Unfortunately, you need to realize that not all situations are the most “serene.”  In fact, the person you are with right now may in fact cause you a lot of chaos. This could even just be represented as just plain spontaneity. Spontaneity can be a good thing!!! You will never get bored this way. Try to trust the Hermit in the third card and move with it to this card. You never know, you might like this.

And that’s the Tarot for Tarot Tuesday!!!

Much love,

Tarot Card of the Week: I The Magician

Greetings my little tarot tots.

Today is another day of working with a specific tarot card. This time we will be studying The Magician I (1); the “first” card of the story of the Fool 0. We will be referring to the Magician as a “he” throughout this article, hopefully that doesn’t offend anyone. I just know that the cards always portray him as male in most of the decks and artwork. Also, the number one is considered to be a phallic symbol, and there are many symbolic messages within the Magician’s card that show that he is definitely a masculine card.

The Fool is on his journey and his first stop is his attempt to gain power over his surroundings. In this card, we find that he has collected each of the objects you will find in the minor arcana: Cups, Pentacles, Wands, and Swords. Typically he will have a wand in his hand, raised to show that he is trying to cast a spell of some sort. It is my belief that he is trying to become all-powerful somehow and he thinks that using the wand will get him there.

The minor arcana (Cups, pentacles, wands, and swords) represent elements. They represent water, earth, fire, and air respectively. We will talk more about this in a later blog post.

The magician is master of things material. He has yet to become The High Priestess II and delve into the inner workings. We will discuss that more in the next chapter of our story. The magician brings us, or the fool, power. He is the master of skills, concentration, and resourcefulness. His abilities are showing some of what we consider to be latent powers, as well.

Mostly I can gather what sort of things I feel from this card, only some of what I have to say is history and such. Every time I have drawn the Magician he has been trying to teach someone a lesson, or be heard. With him, he is commanding attention, standing at his table doing his work. It makes me wonder if there is a card where he is standing at a podium teaching a class. I think this is more of a way that he is trying to gather more and tell the world that he is there to command attention. Too bad he doesn’t realize there are things out there much more powerful than he.

Hopefully that told you a little bit about The Magician card. Each time I write a post on one of these cards I will be doing them in different mannerisms so as to showcase them in their own ways.

Thank you for reading, and I’ll see you next week (if I don’t do any updates besides this).

Tarot Card of the Week: 0 The Fool

Greetings my little Tarot Tots!!

Today, I decided that I wanted to start something completely new to my blog. I figured education on the tarot would be absolutely fantastic for me to share with you. I will be sharing a variety of information on each of the cards on their own weeks.

I am starting with 0 The Fool, as The Fool is seen as the beginning of the Major Arcana. There is so much to learn from the Fool. (I will be referring to the Fool in male pronouns during this talk, but feel free to call him whatever you are comfortable with.) He also is known to be the 22nd card of the Major Arcana and can sometimes be known as the LAST card and not the beginning. Some people just consider it an endless loop, which is what I believe. I see it as a life cycle.

The Fool is usually travelling with a pack on his back with his loyal pet dog with him. There are many things that mean something in the Fool’s card, symbolically I mean. Let’s break it down. I will be using the Rider-Waite deck for the artwork that most people are used to.

As we look at the Fool, we see several things: A pack, a rose, a dog, a cliff, the sun, fancy clothes, and his head high in the sky… Hopeful for what things to come.

The Fool’s head is high in the sky, looking up and forward. He has hopes for the future and new beginnings. He is innocent, unmarred, unadjusted to what we are all going through in our own journeys. He is purity in it’s most true form. When he is seen as the last card in the Major Arcana, this purity means something different. He is purity after all of what has come through. He is transcendence.

The fancy clothes are what he brings with him to prepare for the things that he is going to try to do on his journey. He wants to try to fit in. This Fool does not even know that the key is not to fit in, but to be different. Good thing he clashes as bad as he does.

The Sun is a sign of those who watch over him. Perhaps a high power or even authority. They are keeping an eye on him to see what sort of things he does. Could be a sign of “big brother” in whatever spread you are trying to accomplish.

The Cliff is a sign that this beginning could be a rough start. You always get burned at the beginning. If this card is at the end, perhaps it could be that this cliff is his jumping off point back into the world to help those that he has loved so much within his journey. Maybe even helping those less fortunate or those he doesn’t even like.

The Dog is his loyal companion. The friends he makes along the way are important to him, as they carry lessons that he will have to learn. A good friend is loyal, just like this dog. The fact that he has only one dog shows that there are few people who will stand with you throughout your journey. Not everyone can be trusted. But this friend can. Put faith in him.

The Rose is a sign of love. A pure love, as this rose is white, and white is a colour of purity in the language of flowers. I could go into a huge rant about this if I knew more about floral language. If you’d like to know more about it, I would just google or search your preferred search engine with “Victorian Flower Language Meanings.”

Finally, The Pack. The Fool’s pack is what he uses to bring the things he needs for his journey. When he goes through each of the phases of the Major Arcana, he’s definitely going to need the help. It’s like the scouts always say, “Be Prepared.” I like to think that the Fool is a member of whatever was considered scouts back when the deck was created.

There you have it. That’s the Fool. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below in the comments. I would love to see any comments or critiques or anything you’d like to say.

Lots of love,

Aunt Vyvyan
